After bread and pizza, for Fulvio Marino the time has come to explore the world of baked sweets. The most famous miller in Italy gives us a book with many easy and tasty recipes to bring baked pastries into everyone’s homes. Croissants, brioches, croissants, cakes, tarts and sweet breads: once again, the talent and skill of Fulvio Marino take us by the hand and lead us to discover the flavours and aromas that only baked sweets can offer. Without forgetting the in-depth analysis of ingredients, doughs, techniques and cooking methods.

Fulvio Marino, a third-generation miller, works in the family mill (in the province of Cuneo) which produces exclusively organic flour. He is a baker, an expert in cereal growing, organic farming and baking arts in general. In 2021 he published Dalla terra al pane. Techniques and recipes for modern baking and the following year, for Mondadori Electa, he published Pizza per tutti. Recipes, doughs and cooking methods. A TV face, he is part of the cast of “È sempre mezzogiorno” on Rai1 channel. Since March 2023, he has also hosted his own TV show: “Nel forno di casa tua”, broadcast on Food Network on channel 33. Since December 2023, he has hosted the show “Il forno delle meraviglie” on Real Time. “FuocoFarina” is his bakery with a kitchen where you can taste his creations, opened in September 2023 in Alba (Cuneo).

Meeting with DAVIDE NANNI

Before reaching success, Davide Nanni faced a tough apprenticeship and a deep inner journey. Raised in Castrovalva, a small town of only fifteen people in the heart of Abruzzo, Davide made his way in the world of cooking. It was no easy path, especially after his experiences in restaurants in London, Rome and the United States, where he saw first-hand the good and the bad of the restaurant world. But fate brought him back to his roots. Davide Nanni opens the doors of his kitchen and his heart to us, to discover the typical dishes of the Abruzzo tradition, learned from his grandfather Angelo when they took the sheep to pasture together, up to the most innovative ones experimented in Italy and abroad. All mixed with feeling, without rigidity and impositions, always putting people and relationships up front.

Davide Nanni, known on social media as the “wild” chef for his videos in which he cooks traditional Abruzzo dishes in the woods, grew up in Castrovalva, a small village in the municipality of Anversa degli Abruzzi. After various experiences in the restaurant world, he decided to return to the splendid Valle del Sagittario to rediscover the authenticity of his work and his relationship with his land. He now runs his own restaurant, Locanda Nido d’Aquila, is a regular guest on Antonella Clerici’s programme “È sempre mezzogiorno!” and on social media, to the tune of “J so wild”, he puts forward his idea of ​​nonconformism, simplicity and purity.
